Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Lead Test Engineer to manage a team of Electrical and Mechanical Test Engineers performing acceptance and qualification testing of flight hardware. You will coordinate priorities with the ECL Program Integrator and drive process improvements within the Test Group.

The role requires leadership experience, MIL-STD-810 testing background, and the ability to read complex drawings. A U.S. citizen with DoD program exposure is preferred and a Final Secret clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or a Master’s with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in MIL-STD-810 test environments.
• Background in Manufacturing and/or Test Engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Experience in leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of Test Engineers (Electrical/Mechanical) and perform Acceptance and Qualification testing of Flight Hardware.
• Develop and implement strategies for process improvements and streamline test events within the Test Group.
• Coordinate with the ECL Program Integrator to align daily priorities for Test Engineers.
• Assign tasks to ensure full coverage for all test areas.
• Serve as POC for Engineering and Quality for discrepancy processing.
