Job summary

Judit Inc. is seeking a talented Test Engineer with a Mechanical or Test Engineering background to support a critical defense program.

You will plan, coordinate, and execute tests across components, subsystems, and system level evaluations, mentoring teammates and contributing to large, formal testing environments. Ideal candidates have 9+ years of mechanical testing experience, proficiency in LabVIEW and MATLAB, and the ability to obtain/maintain Government Security Clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 9+ years related experience.
• Experience with system-level mechanical testing for defense or aerospace programs.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD standards (MIL-STD 810 or SMC-S-016).
• Proven leadership skills with mentorship and training in team settings.
• Proficiency in LabVIEW and MATLAB.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and schedule test, integration, and evaluation activities to meet requirements and standards.
• Prepare/test plans, procedures, readiness reviews and reports for functional, environmental, and field tests.
• Support data collection using data acquisition systems and sensors (e.g., NI PXIe, accelerometers, strain gauges, high speed cameras).
• Lead environmental testing including vibration, static loading, pyroshock, thermal cycling, humidity.
• Utilize LabVIEW for instrument control, real-time monitoring, and custom setups.
• Apply MATLAB for signal processing, data filtering, and post-test analysis.
• Provide quick-look analysis and debriefs to engineering and customers.
• Coordinate with programs and external organizations during test planning, execution, and reporting phases.
• Travel 10 - 15%.

Job description

We are seeking a talented test engineer with a Mechanical or Test Engineering background to support a critical defense program. As a Test Engineer, you will perform planning, coordination, and execution of components, subsystems, and system level tests as well as other evaluation activities across the program. A strong candidate will possess at least 9+ years of experience related to mechanical testing. You will have the opportunity to work in a multi-disciplined team environment. Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and schedule test, integration, and evaluation activities to ensure that test requirements and objectives are met per customer/program requirements and engineering and quality standards.
• Prepare and/or review test plans, test procedures, test readiness reviews and test reports for functional, environmental, and field tests
• Support in-house and offsite data collection activities including setup and operation of data acquisition systems and sensors including NI PXIe, DTS Slice, accelerometers, strain gauges, high speed cameras, and other test instrumentation
• Lead and perform environmental testing of dynamic and static environments, including vibration, static loading, pyroshock, thermal cycling, humidity.
• Utilize and optimize tools such as LabView for instrumentation control. Real-time monitoring, and custom setup creation.
• Apply MATLAB for signal processing, data filtering, and post test data analysis
• Perform preliminary “quick look” analysis and provide post-test debriefs to engineering team and customers
• Coordinate with appropriate programs, engineering, and external organizations during test planning, execution, analysis and reporting phases
• 10 - 15% Travel

• Expertise in system-level and mechanical structure testing for defense or aerospace programs
• Familiarity with MIL-STD standards (MIL-STD 810 or SMC-S-016)
• Proven leadership skills with examples of mentorship and training in team settings
• Proficiency in LabView and MATLAB
• Knowledge and/or experience using electrical/mechanical test instrumentation is a plus
• Must be able to obtain/maintain Government Security Clearance; Active Secret clearance preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with formalized documentation and reporting practices
