Job summary

Leidos is seeking a qualified engineer to maintain test environments and develop solutions for complex problems across multiple areas. You will read drawings, inspect components, and approve instructions and procurement related items.

The role requires ISO9001/AS9100 knowledge, IPC 610/620 or J standard certification, and travel to customer sites. US citizenship and Secret clearance are required for this position in the North Alabama area.

Qualifications

• BS degree and 4–8 years of relevant experience; or Masters with 2 years.
• Ability to solve complex problems and communicate across teams and management.
• Experience reading and interpreting drawings.
• Experience in electrical test environments and the Hypersonic program.
• IPC 610/620 or J standard certification.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites; US citizenship and ability to maintain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Maintains processes in the test environment.
• Develops solutions to complex issues affecting multiple areas.
• Communicates with internal teams and client personnel.
• Inspects components and assembled parts per drawings.
• Reviews and approves assembly instructions.
• Approves procurement requisitions.
• Reads and understands drawings and technical data packages.
• Writes non-conformances and initiates root cause investigations.
• Performs environmental testing and analysis of boards and components.
