Leidos is seeking a Lead Test Engineer to manage a team of Electrical and Mechanical Test Engineers performing acceptance and qualification testing of flight hardware. You will coordinate priorities with the ECL Program Integrator and drive process improvements within the Test Group.
The role requires leadership experience, MIL-STD-810 testing background, and the ability to read complex drawings. A U.S. citizen with DoD program exposure is preferred and a Final Secret clearance may be required.

Lead a group of Test Engineers (Electrical/Mechanical), performing Acceptance and Qualification testing of Flight Hardware.
Handle all tasks assigned by the Test Manager and help develop/implement strategies for process improvements and streamlining test events within the Test Group.
Primary Responsibility of the Lead Role:
Coordinate with ECL Program Integrator to understand daily priorities for the Test Engineers.
Assign tasking to ensure full coverage for all areas of test.
Become the POC for Engineering and Quality for Discrepancy processing.
Work with ECL Program Integrator on resource loading and streamlining of processes.
Understand KPI's and Metrics and provide input to help improve the overall throughput of the ECL.
Work with the Test Engineering Manager to help develop a train plan and methods for Test Engineers to help develop growth within the organization.
Work will be conducted in a laboratory environment, which includes setting up test equipment, performing functional testing of components, setting up dynamic/climatic test environments, and subsystem AI&T.
A BS in Engineering for an ABET Accredited College with at least 8+ years of relevant experience or a Masters with at least 6+ years of relevant experience
Experience in a MIL-STD-810 Test Environment
Background in Manufacturing and/or Test Engineering.
Ability to read and interpret Electrical/Mechanical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team.
Experience in Leadership roles
Active security clearance.
Experience supporting DoD programs related to missile systems, reentry vehicles, or hypersonic technologies.
Prior work in assembly, integration, or testing of missile systems.
Experience supporting rapid development, prototyping, or fast-paced engineering programs.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
The ideal candidate would have experience in environmental and dynamic testing and have a current DoD Secret clearance.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.

Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00
