Job summary

Roche is seeking a Principal Software Developer in Test to design, develop, automate, and report on tests for embedded instrument software. The role focuses on building an integrated hardware-in-the-loop framework and ensuring regulatory-compliant quality engineering deliverables across global teams.

You will partner with architects, developers, and verification leads to guide testing practices, and mentor junior testers in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of software development experience with Java, JavaScript, C++ and distributed systems.
• 5+ years of software development in instrument control programming.
• 4+ years in quality engineering or similar field.

Responsibilities

• Develop hardware-in-the-loop test frameworks for end-to-end testing of embedded instrument software.
• Author and validate requirements-driven tests across functional, performance, and scalability dimensions.
• Automate front-end and back-end tests for instrument software and web applications.
