Job summary

Roche GenMark Diagnostics is seeking a Lead SDET/SQE Manager to build C# automation frameworks and mentor engineers. You will architect next-gen automated verification, define strategy, and champion automation in a FDA-regulated environment. onsite in Carlsbad, CA; relocation not offered.

You will lead the team to modernize verification, integrate tests into Azure DevOps pipelines, and collaborate with Regulatory and Quality teams to ensure compliant releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of software engineering or SDET experience.
• 3+ years leading or managing software test engineers with coaching experience in test automation transformations.
• Hands-on experience building automated test frameworks from scratch in C# (modern .NET, async programming, API/UI integration).

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Software Quality Engineers.
• Establish high standards for test code quality and design patterns.
• Bridge between Software Development, Hardware Engineering and SQA to enable parallel verification with development.
• Architect and drive automation strategies aligned with FDA cybersecurity guidelines.
