Job summary

Qualitrol, based in Fairport, NY, seeks a Hardware Test Engineer to design and execute test plans for embedded hardware and systems. You will develop automated test solutions enhancing coverage, repeatability, and efficiency across engineering disciplines.

The role requires hands-on testing with instruments, collaboration with firmware and software teams, and coordination of regulatory testing to ensure compliance and product robustness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical or related field.
• 2+ years in hardware and embedded system testing.
• Strong experience with test automation and Python scripting.
• Hands-on in designing and qualifying test fixtures and automated setups.
• Proficient with test instrumentation (oscilloscopes, DMMs, generators) and environmental equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and document test plans and reports for embedded hardware.
• Develop and maintain automated test solutions to improve coverage and efficiency.
• Coordinate regulatory and compliance testing with third parties (UL, CSA, TÜV).
• Lead RCCA investigations and track corrective actions in defect systems (JIRA).
• Provide actionable feedback to design teams to drive robustness.
