Job summary

SIU Credit Union is seeking a Universal Head Teller to lead the teller line, mentor peers, and supervise cash operations at our on-site branch in Southern Illinois. You will oversee vaults, ATMs, and cash recyclers, ensuring secure, accurate handling of transactions while coaching tellers and maintaining compliance with regulations.

You should bring at least six months of cashier/money handling experience and a proven leadership mindset.

Qualifications

• Six months of cashier/money handling experience required.
• Leadership experience in a financial setting is a plus.
• Bondable and detail-oriented.
• Must maintain confidentiality and handle performance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead teller line; supervise teller team and coach staff.
• Coordinate schedules and oversee branch cash operations.
• Manage branch vault, ATM, and cash recyclers.
• Oversee wire transfers and card services tasks.
• Cross-sell credit union products and introduce financial solutions.
• Ensure security and regulatory compliance on the teller line.
