Job summary

Charter Oak Federal Credit Union is seeking a Head Teller in Uncasville, CT to oversee the teller line and build member relationships by delivering outstanding service.

The role requires prior banking experience, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a team. Bilingual Spanish or Chinese skills are preferred. You will coach branch staff, balance cash drawers, process deposits and loans, and drive sales goals while maintaining policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in traditional or electronic banking services is required.

Responsibilities

• Develops schedules and ensures a complement of tellers is available.
• Performs member transactions and clerical duties.
• Leads teller staff in member service excellence and sales referrals.
• Cross-sells credit union products and services.
• Ensures teller cash drawers are balanced and reconciled.
• Oversees daily cash availability and vault operations.
• Assists a member in obtaining a loan under Regulation Z.
• Researches and adjusts errors.
• Addresses member and employee complaints.
