Job summary

Raytheon's Hardware Electrical Engineering Team seeks Principal Telemetry (TM) and Flight Termination Systems (FTS) Engineers to provide technical leadership, develop advanced architectures, and drive execution for TM/FTS. The role focuses on power, telemetry, and mixed-signal designs for high-reliability defense products in a secure environment.

You will lead circuit and system design, lifecycle development of PCBA-level designs, and reviews, while mentoring others.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in STEM and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with electronics design at the system and/or subsystem level.
• Deep experience with analog and mixed-signal circuit design (FET/BJT, op-amps, filters, A/D converters, level shifting, etc.).
• Experience with analysis tools such as MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead system and circuit-level architecture design activities for TM and FTS subsystems; serve as REA for complex TM/FTS designs.
• Drive full lifecycle development of PCBA-level designs from requirements through integration and qualification.
• Lead technical reviews, failure investigations, supplier engagements, and cross-functional teams.
• Oversee analog and mixed-signal circuit design, analysis, testing, and documentation.
• Independently generate engineering artifacts to demonstrate compliance with requirements.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and shape team engineering practices.
