Job summary

Yancey Bros. Co. in Brunswick, GA is seeking a Lead Technician to oversee shop technicians, schedule workload, and assist peers with technical and diagnostic tasks.

You will open and close work orders, order parts, and ensure a safe, clean work environment while communicating status updates to customers. Ideal candidates have a strong mechanical background, an understanding of schematics, and the ability to mentor others. A high school diploma is required; supervisory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical background knowledge with various engines and different types of equipment.
• Advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Provide own tooling applicable.

Responsibilities

• Open and close work orders, schedule all techs and workload.
• Ordering parts from vendors when necessary
• Assisting peers in developing their technical and diagnostic abilities
• Ensure a safe and clean work environment
• Spend half hour per day with each shop tech
• Search for service letter, product updates and additional repairs.
• Monitor day-to-day labor and work in progress through Service Link
• Communicate daily with customers regarding status updates using multiple means of communication
