Job summary

Datawatch Systems is seeking a Lead Technician Level II in Dallas, TX. The role covers installation, service, and sales support for intrusion, access control, and video management systems, working with clients, vendors, and management teams to ensure timely, quality work.

The position requires extensive field experience, strong electronics knowledge, networking basics, and eligibility for pre-employment screening. Willingness to travel (25%) and maintain a valid driver's license is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience installing access control, video systems, low voltage, and commercial wiring/cabling.
• High School diploma/GED preferred.
• Technical/Trade/Vocational certificate in electronics/electrical desirable.
• Strong electronics knowledge (AC/DC theory, circuits) and ability to use digital volt meters.
• Knowledge of IP, Ethernet, and networking (CAT5) technologies.
• Must meet pre-employment screening including background check and drug screening.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license for travel.

Responsibilities

• Installs, Services, Inspects, tests, and troubleshoots new access control, intrusion systems, and CCTV systems accurately and on time.
• Pulling cable, rough in, installing conduit, terminating cables at device and headend.
• Identify any issues regarding timeline or progress and communicate with the supervisor.
• Stays up to date on new services, technology, and internal processes/procedures.
• Servicing and maintaining various systems at our clients' locations
