Job summary

Datawatch Systems is seeking a Lead Technician Level I to install and service intrusion, access control, and CCTV systems. You will work directly with clients, vendors, and management to ensure timely, quality installations that meet customer expectations.

Schedule is 7am–3pm, Monday to Friday, with drug screening and background checks required. The role may involve travel and background clearance; DCJS #11-2294. Bethesda, MD.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience installing commercial access control, video systems, low voltage, and commercial wiring/cabling
• Knowledge of building, fire, and life safety codes pertaining to construction and electrical systems
• High School diploma/GED required
• Technical/Trade/Vocational school certificate in electronics/electrical is desirable
• Strong electronics knowledge/background (AC/DC theory, series and parallel circuits, open/close loops) and ability to use digital volt meters
• Knowledge of IP, Ethernet, and networking protocol and CAT5 technologies preferred

Responsibilities

• Installs, services, inspects, tests, and troubleshoots access control, intrusion, and CCTV systems accurately and on time
• Pulling cable, rough in, installing conduit, terminating cables at device/headend
• Identify issues regarding timeline or progress and communicate with supervisor
• Stay up to date on new services, technology, and internal processes
