Job summary

Datawatch Systems in Bethesda, MD seeks a Lead Technician Level I to install and troubleshoot intrusion, access control, and CCTV systems. You will interact with clients, vendors, and management to ensure quality, on-schedule service.

The role requires 2+ years in related installs, knowledge of safety codes, and a HS diploma. Schedule is 7 am - 3 pm, Monday to Friday. Drug screening and background check are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience installing access control, video systems, and low voltage wiring.
• Knowledge of building, fire and life safety codes.
• HS diploma or GED required.
• Trade certificate in electronics/electrical desirable.
• Strong electronics knowledge (AC/DC) and ability to use DV meters.
• Knowledge of IP/Ethernet and CAT5 technologies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, inspect, test, and troubleshoot access control, intrusion, and CCTV systems.
• Pull cable, rough-in, install conduit, and terminate at devices.
• Identify timeline/progress issues and communicate with supervisor.
• Stay up-to-date on new services, technology, and internal processes.
