Job summary

ServiceMaster TEAM is seeking an experienced Lead Restoration Technician / Crew Chief in Texas to oversee field mitigation projects and lead restoration teams. You will manage daily jobsite operations, perform moisture assessments, and coordinate with project management to choose effective drying strategies.

The role requires 1–3 years in restoration, strong leadership, and a valid driver’s license, with opportunities for advancement and competitive pay.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead water damage restoration projects and crews.
• Direct daily jobsite operations and schedule tasks.
• Perform moisture inspections, moisture mapping and psychrometric calculations.
• Determine drying and deodorization strategies with Project Management.
• Set up and monitor drying equipment; ensure proper containment.
• Oversee controlled demolition and removal per scope.
• Enforce PPE usage and cross-contamination controls.
• Conduct quality control inspections per IICRC standards.
• Document moisture readings, equipment placement, and progress with restoration software.
• Communicate professionally with customers, adjusters and internal teams.
• Assist in training and mentoring technicians.

We are seeking an experienced Lead Restoration Technician / Crew Chief with strong IICRC alignment to oversee field mitigation projects and lead restoration teams in accordance with IICRC.

This role is ideal for a technically skilled restoration professional who understands drying science, leads from the front, and holds teams accountable for quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead water damage restoration
• Direct daily jobsite operations
• Perform and verify moisture inspections, moisture mapping, and psychrometric calculations
• Determine appropriate drying, cleaning, containment, and deodorization strategies in coordination with Project Management
• Set up, monitor, and adjust drying, filtration, and air scrubber equipment
• Oversee controlled demolition and removal per approved scope
• Enforce PPE usage, containment, and cross-contamination control
• Conduct quality control inspections to ensure compliance with IICRC standards and company SOPs
• Document moisture readings, equipment placement, job progress, and photos using restoration software
• Communicate professionally with customers, adjusters, and internal teams
• Assist in training, mentoring, and evaluating technicians at all skill levels

Required Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience in restoration, mitigation, or disaster recovery
• Demonstrated leadership or crew lead experience
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding environments
• Availability for emergency response and on-call rotation

Preferred Qualifications

• IICRC WRT required; ASD or additional certifications strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of drying science, psychrometrics, and material behaviorExperience with insurance-driven restoration and adjuster coordination
• Proficiency in restoration documentation and job management software
• Experience assisting with job scoping, supplements, and scope validation
