Job summary

ServiceMaster TEAM is seeking an experienced Lead Restoration Technician / Crew Chief to oversee field mitigation projects and lead restoration teams in accordance with IICRC standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge of drying science, moisture mapping, and team leadership.

You will direct daily jobsite operations, ensure safety and quality, and coordinate with Project Management to deliver compliant restoration services.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years in restoration, mitigation, or disaster recovery.
• Demonstrated leadership or crew lead experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding environments.
• Availability for emergency response and on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Lead water damage restoration and direct daily jobsite operations.
• Perform moisture inspections, mapping, and psychrometric calculations.
• Determine drying, cleaning, containment, and deodorization strategies with Project Management.
• Set up and monitor drying equipment and air scrubbers.
• Oversee demolition and removal per approved scope.
• Enforce PPE use and cross-contamination control.
• Conduct quality control inspections per IICRC standards and SOPs.
• Document readings, equipment placement, and progress in restoration software.
• Communicate professionally with customers, adjusters, and teams.
• Assist in training and mentoring technicians of all skill levels.

We are seeking an experienced Lead Restoration Technician / Crew Chief with strong IICRC alignment to oversee field mitigation projects and lead restoration teams in accordance with IICRC.

This role is ideal for a technically skilled restoration professional who understands drying science, leads from the front, and holds teams accountable for quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead water damage restoration
• Direct daily jobsite operations
• Perform and verify moisture inspections, moisture mapping, and psychrometric calculations
• Determine appropriate drying, cleaning, containment, and deodorization strategies in coordination with Project Management
• Set up, monitor, and adjust drying, filtration, and air scrubber equipment
• Oversee controlled demolition and removal per approved scope
• Enforce PPE usage, containment, and cross-contamination control
• Conduct quality control inspections to ensure compliance with IICRC standards and company SOPs
• Document moisture readings, equipment placement, job progress, and photos using restoration software
• Communicate professionally with customers, adjusters, and internal teams
• Assist in training, mentoring, and evaluating technicians at all skill levels

Required Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience in restoration, mitigation, or disaster recovery
• Demonstrated leadership or crew lead experience
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding environments
• Availability for emergency response and on-call rotation

Preferred Qualifications

• IICRC WRT required; ASD or additional certifications strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of drying science, psychrometrics, and material behavior
• Experience with insurance-driven restoration and adjuster coordination
• Proficiency in restoration documentation and job management software
• Experience assisting with job scoping, supplements, and scope validation
