Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is seeking a Lead Teacher in Illinois to guide and mentor the classroom team, deliver the curriculum, and foster a safe, engaging environment for children. You will collaborate with families and staff to ensure high-quality care and education.

The role requires a CDA or NAEYC readiness, a bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education, and 2–3 years of relevant experience, with CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service, solid organization, and the ability to multi-task effectively.
• Possess active CDA Credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements.
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
• 2-3 years Early Childhood Education experience (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
• Meet state-specific qualifications for the role.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
• Implement KinderCare's curriculum in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Partner and connect with parents to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Support center success; work with staff and leadership to achieve enrollment and engagement goals.
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, authorities, and partners.
