Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is seeking a Lead Teacher in Illinois to mentor peers, deliver KinderCare’s curriculum, and create a safe, engaging learning environment. You will connect with families and support center goals while adhering to licensing and quality standards.

The role requires strong customer service, organization, and English communication, with preferred CDA and state trainer credentials, plus 2–3 years ECE experience and a degree in Early Childhood Education.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service skills and strong organizational skills.
• Possess active CDA Credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements.
• Approved state trainer (preferred).
• 2–3 years of Early Childhood Education experience (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
• Meet state-specific qualifications for the role or willingness to obtain them.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and parents.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
• Implement KinderCare's curriculum in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Partner and connect with parents to support best care and education for their children.
• Support center success by partnering with staff and leadership to achieve enrollment, accreditation and engagement goals.
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners.
