Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is seeking a Lead Teacher in Illinois to mentor fellow teachers, deliver the KinderCare curriculum, and create a safe, nurturing environment for children.

You will partner with parents to ensure the best care and education, support center goals around enrollment and accreditation, and build relationships with families and community partners. Requires CDA/NAEYC or state approval with 2–3 years of ECE experience.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and organizational skills.
• Active CDA Credential or NAEYC candidacy (or meet requirement).
• Approved state trainer (preferred).
• 2-3 years Early Childhood Education experience (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
• Meet state-specific qualifications or willingness to obtain.
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
• Implement KinderCare's curriculum consistent with each child’s needs.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Partner and connect with parents to provide the best care and education.
• Support center’s success; collaborate with staff and leadership on enrollment, accreditation and engagement.
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners.
