Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is seeking a Lead Teacher to mentor peers, implement our curriculum, and foster a safe, nurturing classroom environment in Bloomington, IL. You will partner with parents and leadership to drive enrollment and program engagement while supporting children’s growth and wellbeing.

Required CDA or candidacy, 2–3 years ECE experience, and ability to lift 40 pounds. Minnesota premium pay noted for classroom hours is part of the compensation discussion.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service skills and strong organizational abilities.
• Active CDA Credential or meeting NAEYC candidacy requirements.
• Approved state trainer (preferred).
• 2–3 years of Early Childhood Education experience (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
• Meet state-specific qualifications or willingness to obtain.
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and work indoors/outdoors.
• Read, write, and speak English to communicate with children and parents.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
• Implement KinderCare’s curriculum in a way that fits each child’s needs.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Partner and connect with parents to support their children’s education.
• Support center goals around enrollment, accreditation and engagement.
• Build positive relationships with families, teachers, licensing authorities, community contacts and partners.
