Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is seeking a Lead Teacher in Illinois to lead, coach and mentor teachers, implement our curriculum, and create a safe, nurturing classroom where children can play and learn.

You will partner with parents, support enrollment and accreditation goals, and build strong relationships with families, staff, and community partners. A CDA credential or state-approved qualifications are preferred, along with 2–3 years of early childhood experience.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service, strong organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.
• Possess active CDA Credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements.
• Approved state trainer (preferred).
• 2–3 years Early Childhood Education experience (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
• Meet state-specific qualifications or willingness to obtain.
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
• Implement KinderCare's curriculum in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Partner and connect with parents, with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Support your center’s success; partner with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners.
