Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is seeking a Lead Teacher to guide and mentor fellow teachers, implement our curriculum, and create a safe, engaging classroom for young learners in Illinois. You will partner with families and the center team to achieve enrollment and accreditation goals.

The role requires strong customer service, 2–3 years in early childhood education, and relevant credentials (CDA or NAEYC candidacy). CPR/First Aid is preferred.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and organizational skills; ability to multi-task effectively.
• Possess active CDA Credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred; state trainer approved is a plus.
• Meet state-specific qualifications or willingness to obtain; CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback (Lead Teacher).
• Implement KinderCare's curriculum consistently with each child’s needs.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Partner and connect with parents to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Support center success; collaborate with staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners.
