Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies in Edwardsville, IL is seeking a Lead Teacher to inspire and guide young learners. You will implement our curriculum, create a safe, nurturing classroom, and partner with families to support each child’s growth.

This role emphasizes mentorship of junior teachers, collaboration with center staff, and focus on enrollment, accreditation, and community engagement. A CDA, NAEYC candidacy, and a Bachelor’s in ECE are valued; CPR/First Aid and English fluency are required.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Active CDA Credential or NA EYC candidacy.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• 2–3 years Early Childhood Education experience (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
• Meet state qualifications or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to use a computer, lift 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors.
• Read, write, and speak English to communicate with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
• Implement KinderCare’s curriculum with attention to each child’s needs.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Partner with parents to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Support center success; collaborate with center staff and leadership on enrollment, accreditation and engagement.
• Build positive relationships with families, teachers, licensing authorities and community partners.
