Job summary

Busy Bees in Laveen, AZ is seeking a Lead Teacher to work with fellow teachers and families, creating a warm home away from home for children 6 weeks to 12 years old, in line with NAC guidelines.

You will help plan developmentally appropriate activities, ensure safety, communicate with parents, and partner with families to tailor care and education. This full-time role offers a supportive team and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 6+ months of experience in a licensed child care facility.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks - 12 years.
• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum per NAC standards & AZ Early Learning Standards.
• Curate programs and activities based on children’s interests and learning styles.
• Maintain a warm, safe, clean environment that supports growth and exploration.
• Partner with families to create care plans for best outcomes.
• Provide effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.
