Job summary

Busy Bees in East Mesa, AZ is seeking a Lead Teacher to work with teachers and families, providing a home away from home for children from 6 weeks to 12 years old, following NAC guidelines and AZ standards.

You will develop developmentally appropriate curricula, curate engaging activities, and maintain a safe, warm environment while partnering with families to ensure the best care and education for each child.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months of experience in a licensed child care facility.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks–12 years.
• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum per NAC guidelines & AZ Early Learning Standards.
• Curate programs and activities based on children’s interests and learning styles.
• Maintain a warm, safe, clean environment for growth and exploration.
• Partner with families to plan the best possible care and education.
• Provide effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.
