Job summary

HBMPAA is seeking a Lead Teacher to provide day-to-day leadership of the instructional program. You will guide the classroom team, plan high-quality learning experiences, and ensure compliance with Title 5, Title 22, licensing, funding, and HBMPAA requirements.

You will establish classroom expectations, direct staff, and maintain a safe, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate environment that supports children's learning, health, and well-being.

Qualifications

• Must possess valid Child Development Master Teacher Permit, Site Supervisor permit or higher.
• Must meet education and licensing requirements for HBMPAA program.
• CPR/First Aid certifications and Mandated Reporter training as required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum, lesson plans, and daily schedules.
• Establish an inclusive, culturally responsive classroom environment.
• Individualize learning experiences based on children’s development and assessments.
• Maintain and implement supervision requirements at all times.
• Monitor classroom ratios, transitions, routines, and safety factors.
• Provide coaching and feedback to staff; address performance or safety concerns.
