Job summary

Agape Love Childcare Center LLC in Detroit is seeking a Lead Teacher to guide a class through the school year, assessing students and designing instruction to meet diverse needs.

You will create engaging instruction, foster a positive classroom environment, and collaborate with parents and staff to support each child's growth and learning journey.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or in progress.
• Associate degree or CDA currently in a Bachelor's program for Early Childhood.
• Strong understanding of child development principles and classroom management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation guidelines; adherence to them.
• Problem-solving and mediation skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and follow a comprehensive curriculum.
• Implement and follow Head Start Performance standards.
• Assist children with developing social and emotional skills.
• Use a range of instructional methods and learning techniques.
• Communicate with parents and other school personnel.
• Assess students' skills and performance to ensure developmental milestones are met.
