Beacon Hill Schools in Georgia is seeking a Lead Teacher for our early childhood education team at the Athens, Watkinsville, and Bogart locations. The ideal candidate will nurture young minds, foster a love for learning, and create a safe, engaging preschool environment.

Pay ranges from $17.00 to $21.00 per hour, based on education and experience. Schedule is Monday-Friday. Join us to contribute to a supportive community and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and staff effectively.
• Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and engage physically with children throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes literacy, social skills, and physical development.
• Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to promote positive interactions among students.
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development and classroom activities.
• Foster a love for learning through creative play, hands-on activities, and structured lessons.

Education

Bachelor’s, Associate’s, TCD, TCC, or CDA in Early Childhood Education or Child Development

Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience in a licensed childcare setting

CPR/First Aid certified (or willingness to obtain)
