Job summary

Beacon Hill Schools in Georgia is hiring an Assistant Teacher to support Lead Teachers at multiple locations, including Watkinsville, Athens, and Bogart. You will create a warm, engaging classroom, lead hands-on activities, and build strong connections with children and families.

Work Monday–Friday in a caring, dependable team environment with growth opportunities. The role requires a GED or higher, or CDA/credential pursuit; 6 months of licensed childcare experience preferred; CPR/First Aid

Qualifications

• CDA, TCC, or pursuing an early childhood credential preferred.
• GED or High School Diploma required.
• At least 6 months of licensed childcare experience or strong willingness to learn.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Must pass background checks and meet DECAL requirements.
• Team-player attitude and love for working with children.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stay actively engaged.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher with daily lessons and routines using Frog Street curriculum.
• Assist with caregiving tasks, including diapering, toileting, and meal routines.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
• Assist with classroom management and encourage positive behavior.
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, rest time, and transitions.
• Foster relationships with students and families through kind, professional interactions.
• Ensure compliance with state licensing requirements and school policies.
