Job summary

Beacon Hill Schools in Georgia is seeking a passionate Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team at our Athens, Watkinsville, and Bogart locations. You will nurture young minds and foster a love of learning in a safe, engaging preschool setting.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Associate’s in Early Childhood Education (or CDA) and has 1–2 years of licensed childcare teaching experience, CPR/First Aid certification, and solid classroom management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Must meet state licensing requirements including background checks.
• Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early education.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes literacy, social skills, and physical development.
• Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
• Manage classroom behavior to promote positive interactions among students.
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development and classroom activities.
• Foster a love for learning through creative play, hands-on activities, and structured lessons.

Summary

Pay: $17.00-$21.00/hour, based on education and experience

Schedule:Monday-Friday

Requirements

Qualifications

Development

• Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience in a licensed childcare setting
• CPR/First Aid certified (or willingness to obtain)
• Must meet all state licensing requirements, including background checks
• Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early

education

• Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and staff

effectively

• Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and engage physically with children throughout the day
