Job summary

Beacon Hill Schools in Georgia is seeking an Assistant Teacher for our Bogart location. You will support the Lead Teacher, help deliver lessons, and create a warm, engaging classroom.

This role requires caring, dependable, and enthusiastic individuals, with a background in childcare and a willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid if needed. You’ll engage with children and families, comply with licensing, and contribute to a nurturing learning environment.

Qualifications

• CDA, TCC, or experience working toward an early childhood education credential preferred.
• GED or High School Diploma required.
• At least 6 months of experience in a licensed childcare setting (or strong desire to learn).
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Must pass all required background checks and meet DECAL requirements.
• A team-player attitude with a love for working with children.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stay actively engaged throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in delivering daily lessons and routines using the Frog Street curriculum.
• Assist with caregiving tasks, including diapering, toileting, and meal routines.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
• Assist with classroom management and encourage positive behavior.
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, rest time, and transitions.
• Foster relationships with students and families through kind, professional interactions.
• Ensure compliance with state licensing requirements and school policies.

Summary

Pay: $14.00-$20.00/hour, based on education and experience
