Job summary

Beacon Hill Schools in Bogart, GA is seeking an Assistant Teacher to join the Bogart location. You will support the Lead Teacher, implement the Frog Street curriculum, and help create a warm, engaging classroom.

The role requires a GED or HS diploma, at least 6 months of licensed childcare experience (or strong desire to learn), CPR/First Aid certification, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Schedule Monday–Friday with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• CDA, TCC, or experience working toward an early childhood education credential preferred.
• GED or High School Diploma required.
• At least 6 months of experience in a licensed childcare setting (or strong desire to learn).
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Must pass all required background checks and meet DECAL requirements.
• A team-player attitude with a love for working with children.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stay actively engaged throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in delivering daily lessons and routines using the Frog Street curriculum
• Assist with caregiving tasks, including diapering, toileting, and meal routines
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment
• Assist with classroom management and encourage positive behavior
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, rest time, and transitions
• Foster relationships with students and families through kind, professional interactions
• Ensure compliance with state licensing requirements and school policies

Education
