Job summary

Salesforce seeks a Lead Researcher to shape Tableau analytics with domain expertise in analytics, semantics, data prep, and data storytelling. You will distill complex problems into insights guiding product strategy and collaborate across product, design, engineering, and business teams.

Role emphasizes generative and evaluative research, AI tooling, and ethical stewardship, with opportunities to mentor others and manage customer advisory programs at scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in UX, product design, or technology research, in a large organization.
• AI fluency: understanding AI failure modes and the human-in-the-loop requirements.
• Strong mix of qualitative and quantitative research methods and tools.
• Proven ability to influence product direction with actionable insights.
• Experience leading workshops and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to plan, design, and communicate strategic and tactical research.
• Comfort working with globally dispersed teams (AMER/APAC).
• Bachelor’s or higher in a field related to human behavior or research.

Responsibilities

• Scope and drive full research initiatives including planning, studies, and stakeholder management.
• Synthesize findings into narratives that show business value of recommendations.
• Partner with senior management across product, design, engineering, and success teams.
• Lead external feedback programs and event activations with customer leaders.
• Conduct strategic, generative, and evaluative research using mixed methods.
• Navigate fast-paced, ambiguous projects while maintaining scope and outcomes.
• Integrate AI tools to accelerate lifecycle, validate AI outputs, and craft prototypes and dashboards.
• Uphold data integrity and ethical research standards, addressing bias and privacy.
• Mentor and collaborate across the Research & Insights org and partner teams.
