Job summary

High Country Line Construction, Inc., a subsidiary of MYR Group Inc., is seeking a T&D Estimator II to prepare and lead cost estimates for transmission, distribution, and substation projects. This role focuses on evaluating bid specifications, drawings, and supplier pricing to ensure competitive, profitable bids.

The position requires at least five years of estimating experience, familiarity with electrical construction, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical drawings.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Experience with cost estimation on electrical construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for transmission, distribution and substation projects.
• Lead estimate development with defined work tasks and bid history.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing.
• Manage bid activity and lead the estimating team.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and field walks as required.
