Northrop Grumman in Roy, UT seeks a Principal Systems Safety Engineer to influence design for safety, develop safety requirements, and support system-level safety analyses for the Sentinel program. The role requires an active Secret clearance and hands-on experience with MIL-STD-882E, DO-178/DO-254, and software/hardware safety processes.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in STEM from an accredited university and 5 years with BS, 3 years with MS, 1 year with PhD
• Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application
• Experience with MIL-STD-882E for hazard analyses
• Experience with Safety Assessment Reports
• Experience with DO-178 or DO-254 for design development
• Experience in C/C++, Java, OO design or similar software development
• Strong written and verbal communication in English

Responsabilidades

• Influence design to meet safety requirements for products and systems
• Create functional specifications and safety requirements for assigned systems
• Develop safety documents to support customer/test requirements
• Audit operational areas and report on safety program effectiveness
• Evaluate relationships of safety requirements with design concepts
