Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Roy, Utah, seeks a Systems Safety Engineer to support the Sentinel program. The role involves developing use cases, allocating requirements, and ensuring traceability for safety analyses.

You will collaborate with IPTs, mature architecture content, and ensure requirements are properly represented in models. A Secret clearance and STEM degree with experience are required, with excellent teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen with an active Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 2 years of experience; Master's degree may offset.
• 2 years' experience with C/C++, Java, object oriented design, or similar experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with program IPT counterparts to develop supporting systems engineering and design artifacts.
• Work with both technical teams and stakeholders to develop and mature architecture content of large programs design.
• Help develop and incorporate the appropriate requirements for the system and ensure that they are properly represented in the model.
• Contribute to system requirements development, management, and analysis.
• Develop unifying model techniques, procedures, and processes (for model development, tool integration, and team integration).
• The candidate will have experience in generation or review of design artifacts to support System Safety analyses utilized in maturing weapons system design for safety and support flight test and flight worthiness of complex systems.
