Job summary

Stratolaunch in Mojave, CA is seeking a Staff Systems/Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer (ME) to lead the design, integration, testing, and maintenance of vehicle systems, with a focus on manufacturing readiness and shopfloor execution.

This role requires creating detailed work instructions, defining manufacturing processes, and ensuring compliance with aerospace standards while supporting flight vehicle systems and integration.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of vehicle systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and aerospace structures.
• Experience with aerospace production documentation and revision control.
• Familiarity with 3D CAD and NX/CATIA/SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead for Stratolaunch vehicle builds.
• Create work instructions and tooling plans for fabrication and installation.
• Reference 3D CAD models and integrate into 2D docs.
• Support shop by engineering liaison on documentation issues.
