Job summary

Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems in Baltimore seeks a Systems Engineering Manager 2 to lead a team of 8–12 engineers in SIT&E, balancing technical program work with front-line management on-site in Baltimore, MD. You will provide both engineering leadership and project execution, guiding staff on staffing, reviews, and customer communications while advancing engineering processes.

A strong background in radar, RF, or embedded systems is required, along with DoD clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics with 8+ years of experience, or advanced degrees with fewer years.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Secret Clearance and SAP access.
• Experience in integration, test and evaluation of radar, electronic warfare, RF systems, or real-time embedded software.

Responsibilities

• Lead direct reports and collaborate with section managers to plan staffing and program support.
• Oversee engineering tasks, IPT leadership, and CAM support for programs.
• Ensure adherence to engineering processes and manage budgets and training.
• Develop proposals and maintain customer relationships.
