Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Baltimore seeks an experienced Airborne Platform Sensors – Systems Engineering Section Lead to guide the SIT&E department. You will manage multidisciplinary engineering activities across data analysis, test, and integration to ensure technical performance and schedule fidelity.

The role demands leadership of 70–80 engineers, mentorship of managers, collaboration with senior leaders, and active DoD Secret clearance with SAP eligibility. Onsite work in Baltimore is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years, Master’s with 6+, or Ph.D. with 4+ years in a technical field.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Current/active DoD Secret Clearance with ability to obtain SAP.
• Proven ability to lead engineering teams and manage staffing, mentoring, and execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead a Systems Integration department of ~70–80 engineers within SIT&E.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to front-line managers and align execution with goals.
• Oversee programs across the BaPs division and ensure talent, training and processes are in place.
