Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. seeks a Staff Systems Engineer (Air-to-Ground) in Linthicum, MD, on-site. You will lead radar system architectures, define requirements, and drive verification strategies across RF, processing, software, and platform teams.

Ideal candidates hold a STEM degree with extensive systems engineering experience in radar or RF sensors, and are able to collaborate with customers and senior leadership while navigating complex programs and security clearances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related field with extensive experience.
• Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance required or ability to obtain.
• Experience leading systems engineering for radar or advanced RF sensor systems.
• Ability to develop and apply models in MATLAB, Python, and/or C/C++.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of radar system architectures for air-to-ground missions across RF, processing, software, and platforms.
• Define and partition system-level requirements, performance budgets, and interfaces.
• Direct and review trade studies on waveforms, antenna design, and CONOPS.
• Lead radar performance modeling, verification strategies, and test architectures.
• Interface with customers to present technical approaches and roadmaps.
