Job summary

RTX is seeking a Section Leader in Tucson, AZ to lead a team of engineers and technicians within the SI&T LADS Effectors department. You will drive performance, mentoring, and staffing while aligning to program goals and Raytheon Technologies values.

The role focuses on leadership, staffing, and process improvements across programs such as Stinger, Coyote, and Excalibur, with opportunities to contribute technically as a lead or individual contributor.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with LADS program portfolio (e.g., Stinger, Coyote, NGSRI, Excalibur, TOW, etc.).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to lead in a matrix environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers and technicians.
• Establish meaningful and measurable goals and communicate with the team.
• Oversee direct line management, performance, and talent acquisition.
• Support department and directorate level initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Timecard approvals and issue resolution.
• Serve as technical lead or individual contributor; ~10% of time in leadership duties.
