Job summary

Kapsch in the US is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to own the technical direction of tolling and roadside infrastructure projects. You will lead cross‑functional teams of hardware, software, and electrical engineers from bid through delivery and handoff, defining architecture and client-facing solutions.

The role requires a strong IT and networking background, a PE license preferred, and 10+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of IT and networking experience preferred.
• CCNA, CCNP or similar networking certification.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical solution end-to-end—from bid-phase through delivery and handoff.
• Design and maintain the full solution architecture (systems, interfaces, protocols, databases, networking, applications).
• Lead cross-functional teams and manage client relationships, translating requirements into buildable solutions.
