Job summary

Kapsch TrafficCom North America is seeking a highly experienced lead Systems Engineer to own the technical direction for tolling and mobility projects across North America. You will drive end-to-end architecture, cloud and on-premise integration, and serve as the primary technical contact for clients.

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud-based solutions and cloud architectures, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Proven track record in Systems Engineering with 7+ years of experience.
• Excellent communication skills translating complex tech to diverse audiences.
• Ability to lead technical workshops and mentor engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction from bid phase through delivery and handoff.
• Define system-level architecture, requirements, KPIs, and acceptance criteria for tolling/mobility solutions.
• Lead integration of internal and third-party systems with traceability from concept to deployment.
• Develop end-to-end technical solutions spanning hardware, software, and cloud components.
• Support proposal activities with requirements analysis and technical reviews.
• Collaborate with customers to understand requirements and drive optimal solutions.
• Provide technical leadership throughout development, testing, and operational handoff.
