Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer in Cardiac Ablation Solutions. The role focuses on refining systems engineering skills, conducting interface testing, and integrating the system into EP cath lab environments. In-person collaboration is emphasized with a minimum onsite presence.

The unit develops life-restoring therapies across the care continuum, applying clinical and economic evidence to improve patient outcomes and procedural efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with minimum years of relevant experience (7 years) or Master's with 5 years or PhD with 3 years.
• Advanced understanding of Electrophysiology and hospital environment.
• Experience in Systems Engineering including defining systems architecture within medical device product development.
• Experience with the application of Design Controls for medical devices.

Responsibilities

• Participate on cross-functional development teams in the creation of integration, characterization, and troubleshooting testing, training, and guidance documents.
• Develop expertise in the application of systems engineering principles and identify opportunities for applying systems engineering within work assigned to the team.
• Support marketing, field engineering, technical services, and training and education in technical questions.
• Propose and implement changes to improve systems and/or processes.
