Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer to lead system integration and apply advanced systems engineering to electrophysiology cath lab environments. You will work across cross-functional teams, define architectures, and drive testing and validation throughout the product lifecycle.

Based in the US, this onsite role supports sites in Minnesota or Massachusetts with a four-day-office expectation. A strong background in medical devices and Design Controls is required, with travel <20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 10+ years of experience or Master’s with 8+ years or PhD with 6+ years of experience.
• Advanced systems engineering experience defining systems architecture.
• Experience in medical devices and electrophysiology environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional development teams in integration, characterization, and troubleshooting testing.
• Develop expertise in applying systems engineering principles and identify optimization opportunities.
• Support marketing, field engineering, technical services, and training with technical guidance and testing.
• Travel up to 20%.
