Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a senior software engineering leader for the Affera Mapping and Ablation System, with on-site responsibilities in Minnesota or Massachusetts. The role focuses on architecture, development, testing, and sustaining complex medical device software, ensuring quality and regulatory alignment.

You will lead cross-functional teams, plan releases, manage risks, and drive continuous process improvements in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, OR an Advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of medical product software development, IEC-62304, and FDA guidance, or experience in other highly regulated environments.
Program Management experience in a technical discipline or relevant software engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Lead software engineering teams responsible for architecture, design, development, testing, and sustaining activities for complex medical device software.
Plan and execute release milestones, risk management, defect resolution, and continuous improvement with cross-functional collaboration.
Define, plan, organize, and coordinate software development deliverables across multiple sites under FDA and regulatory requirements.
