Qualifications

• Nine or more years in construction and/or maintenance of power substations, SCADA, metering, monitoring or control systems.
• Degree in electrical power theory, electronics, instrumentation, controls, or related field may substitute years of experience.
• Driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and direction for staff while maintaining awareness of department issues, responding to employee needs and concerns.
• Hires, trains, assigns work, evaluates and leads performance, determines compensation of subordinate staff in compliance with human resources policies.
• Develops cost estimates, scopes of work (SOW) and coordinates with Supply Chain to onboard contractors.
• Responsible for ensuring project coordination between other project teams is timely.
• Attends regular project scoping meetings and construction site visits to make recommendations on system, circuit, design or layout improvements to engineering.
• Reviews for accuracy and approves all test reporting documents related to commissioning and maintenance activities.
