Form Energy seeks a Lead System Integration Engineer to bridge the Battery Management System (BMS) hardware and embedded software, ensuring requirements alignment and robust interfaces for the company\'s 100-hour iron-air energy storage system.

You will own ICD/HSI definitions, drive system integration plans, and mentor engineers while leveraging HIL validation and V-model/ASPICE practices to deliver safe, reliable production-ready systems.

Competenze

• 7+ years of experience in systems engineering, product integration, or technical lead roles within deep-tech industries such as Energy Storage, Automotive, or Aerospace.
• Deep knowledge across electrical analysis, power electronics, and embedded real-time software development.
• Mastery of requirement management tools (Jama, Polarion, DOORS) and MBSE tools like Catia Magic or SysML.
• Experience with Battery Management Systems, including charging/discharging logic, thermal monitoring, and fault management strategies.
• Strong command of the Systems Engineering V-model and familiarity with functional safety standards (ISO 26262, IEC 61508, UL 1998).
• Proven ability to conduct root-cause analysis for complex system-level failures and power/load budget analyses.
• Exceptional technical communication skills translating high-level goals into actionable strategies.

Mansioni

• Orchestrate the integration of BMS hardware (sensors, actuators, and power circuitry) with embedded software control modules to ensure seamless functional performance.
• Lead the decomposition of high-level system requirements into actionable, bi-directionally traceable, and testable specifications for hardware and software teams.
• Establish and manage ICDs and HSI definitions to govern communication and clear pinout expectations.
• Oversee the development of validation and integration plans, including Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and System Integration Test Beds for safety and reliability across conditions.
• Drive the execution of DFMEA and CFMEA to proactively identify and mitigate integration-level risks.
• Act as the central partner for Design, Test, and Validation teams, reconciling interface nonconformities and maintaining architecture from prototype to production.
• Champion standardized Systems Engineering workflows (V-model, ASPICE) and mentor junior engineers in requirement linking and design coverage.
