Job summary

Form Energy is seeking a Senior Staff Systems Engineer to own the system-level architecture of our 100-hour iron-air battery energy storage systems. You will define requirements, perform MBSE modeling, and lead cross-functional teams across electrical, mechanical, and electrochemical domains to ensure safety, durability, and scalable performance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of systems engineering or technical lead experience in deep-tech industries.
• Breadth across electrical, thermal, software controls, and hardware domains.
• Proven track record delivering hardware requirements from concept to scale-up.
• Experience with DFMEA and risk assessment frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead system-level architecture design for multi-day iron-air battery energy storage systems.
• Decompose requirements and manage interfaces using established tools.
• Model with MBSE and perform hazard analyses and FMEA to mitigate risks.
• Coordinate testing, validation, and system integration with multiple engineering teams.
• Drive design decisions to balance performance, safety, and cost.
• Support rapid execution in a fast-paced environment with pragmatic rigor.
