Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking technically strong engineers to establish the foundation for product execution and safety strategy in the advanced energy space. You will own BMS architecture, decompose requirements, and lead verification across programs with suppliers.

The role requires HV battery system expertise, SysML/Simulink literacy, and cross-functional leadership. This hybrid position is based in the U.S. with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Mechatronics, or Systems Engineering.
• 6+ years in embedded electronic control system development with 3+ years on battery management or HV systems.
• Ability to read SysML models and Simulink; software development not required.

Responsibilities

• Own the BMS architecture and requirement decomposition across programs.
• Define verification strategy and acceptance criteria for requirements.
• Author interface control docs for thermal, power electronics, safety, and control systems.
• Lead architecture and design reviews with suppliers and internal teams.
• Provide technical direction and resolve cross-domain conflicts.
• Present architecture status and risk to senior management.
